Job Title: Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer (Contractor)

Location: Remote Estimated Hours: 212 hours (1.5 Month Contract)
Must have Skills: Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) AlloyDB migration

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure operations and deployment activities. This contractor role will focus on managing and optimizing our Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environment, driving an AlloyDB migration, and automating deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate is well-versed in cloud administration, networking, and security, and can execute production deployments efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure including administration, networking, IAM, and security.
  • Lead or assist in the migration to AlloyDB with minimal disruption to existing services.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to support production deployment execution.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment-related issues in staging and production environments.
  • (Optional) Contribute to infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Write scripts to support automation and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including:
  • Google Cloud Platform Admin, Cloud Run, Networking (VPC, firewall rules), IAM, and Security best practices
  • Hands-on experience with AlloyDB (setup, migration, performance tuning).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, including pipeline creation and environment configuration.
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Experience in production deployment processes and change management protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within estimated timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Engineer or equivalent)
