Title: Data Engineer (Data Pipelines & Visualization)
Location: Remote

Ekman Associates is a management consulting firm that specializes in developing business, digital, and technology strategy, delivering solutions, and addressing human resource demands.

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support a team by building robust data pipelines, creating insightful visualizations and developing dashboards. This role will enable data-driven decision- making and reporting through efficient data infrastructure and clear visual communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
  • Build interactive dashboards and visualizations to present key metrics and insights.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all pipeline and visualization components.
  • Optimize data workflows for efficiency and scalability.
  • Document data processes and provide training/support to stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in computer science, Information Technology.
  • 7+ Years SQL, Excel, ETL, Data Analysis.
  • Proven experience in building data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Unidash, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience working with large-scale data systems and cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with dashboarding and reporting for business or technical teams.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure and governance tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within contract timelines.
