Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect for a 9-month hybrid contract with our client in Austin, Texas. This role requires deep expertise in architecting, developing, and implementing enterprise-level Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience engaging with customers to gather requirements and lead full-cycle data architecture design and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable data warehouse solutions for large organizations.
  • Lead requirement gathering, data modeling, and solution design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Manage multi-database environment development and integration (DB2, Oracle, Teradata).
  • Develop and optimize database programming using T-SQL, PL/SQL, and BTEQ.
  • Design and implement ETL workflows, metadata solutions, and advanced reporting/analytics.
  • Ensure data quality, integration, and security across complex environments.
  • Re-architect existing systems into enterprise-ready data warehouse solutions.
  • Support real-time and near-real-time data integration strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to deliver business intelligence solutions.
  • Promote self-service data capabilities for end users.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting, configuring, and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong background in data warehouse architecture standards, methodology, and data integration best practices.
  • Proficiency with DB2 (v10.1 or higher), Oracle, or Teradata databases.
  • Expertise in ETL tool development, metadata management, and data modeling.
  • Experience with complex application and data security requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working closely with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Public Sector (Federal, State, or Local Government).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Project, Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
