Description

SAIC is looking for a Waterjet and CNC Engineer to work on a contract located in Hanahan, SC.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Will be primarily tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration task to include metal work, welding, and reviewing the customers drawings and providing feedback.
  • Provide assistance to related support areas, including but not limited to kitting, logistics, and quality.
  • Will need to be able to read and understand metal fabrication drawings and define plans to perform additive and subtractive manufacturing functions.
  • Support engineering activities such as design, test, and fabrication.
  • Work safely in a Machine Shop environment.
  • Communicate with leadership, other team members, and the customer.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Associates in related discipline and one (1) year related experience; OR High School and two (2) year related experience.

Required experience:
  • Must be able to safely complete all the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:
  • Experience operating a water jet and other CNC machining tools.
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
  • Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, or squatting for extended periods.
  • A familiarity with machine shop equipment, quality tools, or hand tools needed for metal work.
  • Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.
  • Able to obtain a Forklift License.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Required clearance:
  • with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Active DOD clearance accepted.
