Job Title: Senior Android Engineer (REMOTE)

Our client is a leading grocery delivery platform, transforming the retail industry with innovative smart cart technology. Their AI-powered smart carts feature scale sensors, touchscreens, and computer vision, enhancing the shopping experience for customers.
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will join our dynamic engineering team to develop and maintain Android applications. Collaborating with diverse technical backgrounds, you'll support our company's growth by scaling existing products and introducing new features.
Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable Android applications.
  • Identify and implement performance improvements for the Android user experience.
  • Create systems for analyzing and monitoring performance at scale.
  • Establish performance best practices for the team.
  • Guide QA teams on automating cart processes.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of Android development experience.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, RxJava, and Kotlin coroutines.
  • Familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries and frameworks (e.g., Compose, Room, MVVM).
  • Experience in rigorous unit testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with embedded Android and hardware.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • Proficiency in profiling and performance optimization.
  • Ability to adapt and handle multiple responsibilities.
