Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite role- Relocation will be workable)

About Job:

Are you a Mainframe Developer with deep COBOL expertise and a passion for working on high-impact government systems? seeking seasoned developers to support ALECS a federally certified system supporting Child Support Enforcement, processing over $350M annually.

Your Core Responsibilities:
Lead development and maintenance of COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL applications
Use tools like TELON (a plus!) for legacy code generation
Work with over 50 interface systems and support 600+ users
Follow SDLC (Waterfall & Agile) methodologies for development and deployment
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and optimize workflows
Support on-call production activities as needed

What We're Looking For:
8 10+ years of COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, TSO experience
Strong SQL skills (SPUFI, Ad-hoc queries, DDL/DML, triggers, views)
Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Experience working independently on mission-critical applications
Bonus: Experience with TELON or Child Support Enforcement Systems

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

OR 10+ years of mainframe experience with a GED or High School diploma
