We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join our growing network support team. This role focuses on production support, not architecture or major changes. You will be assisting with daily operational tasks, learning the ropes of enterprise networking, and supporting the stability and security of core network infrastructure.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their networking career-ideally their first or second job-who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative environment.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day network issues
- Monitor and triage tickets using ServiceNow; assist in managing and delegating the support queue
- Basic configuration, patching, and support of network devices under guidance
- Assist in managing and updating Palo Alto firewall rules, DNS entries, and basic switching tasks
- Document network changes, procedures, and support activities
- Follow change control processes and adhere to client network and security standards
- Collaborate with senior engineers and gain exposure to enterprise tools and operations
- Technical Environment (You'll Gain Exposure To):
You don't need deep experience in all of these, but familiarity or academic exposure is a plus. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn and comfortable working under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Cisco & Arista switching - basic VLANs, port configs, interface monitoring
- Palo Alto firewalls - rule reviews, change tickets, general navigation
- DNS/DHCP/IPAM - working knowledge; Infoblox experience a plus
- ServiceNow - creating/updating tickets, queue triage
- SolarWinds - network monitoring basics
- Meraki & wireless environments - minimal exposure is fine

qualifications:
What We're Looking For:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a networking or IT support role
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts (OSI Model, IP addressing, switching)
- Familiarity with firewalls and security rules (Palo Alto preferred, but not required)
- Some experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
- Eagerness to learn and take feedback; interest in building a long-term network engineering career
- Clear communication skills and ability to follow documented processes
- Ability to work hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote (occasional off-hours support as needed)
Preferred (Not Required):
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Any certifications (CCNA, Network+, etc.)
- Exposure to enterprise tools or projects (e.g., during internships or coursework)
