Data Protection & Backup Engineer: Commvault/NetBackup - Spring, TX

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection & Backup Engineer (L3) with strong hands-on expertise in Commvault and Veritas NetBackup for a long-term onsite role in Spring, TX. The ideal candidate will support enterprise backup and recovery operations across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, ensuring data integrity, performance, and compliance.

In this role, you will manage and troubleshoot backup jobs, perform restore testing and DR activities, optimize storage and retention policies, and collaborate closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams. Candidates should have solid experience with VMware/Hyper-V backups, SQL/Oracle protection, scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python), and cloud integrations (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform). Experience with tape libraries, storage systems, and ITIL processes is preferred.
