Job Description:

The Senior Systems Engineering Manager will lead a team of Project and Systems Engineers that support the development, sustainment, and business pursuit activities associated SATCOM and Space communication systems. This Senior Manager should have demonstrated leadership experience in engineering development and/or program management and should include experience leading major development proposal efforts. Key competencies/skills required for this position include:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience in project/systems engineering, including proposal management, requirements analysis, development of architecture and technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project and/or personnel management and leadership experience, building cohesive/collaborative teams.
  • Understanding of and experience with business development processes/lifecycle with an emphasis on capture and proposal planning and proposal development
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Experience with all aspects of Military Standard Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) including: Design, Implementation, Transition to Manufacturing, and Maintenance
  • Experience and in depth understanding of SATCOM and Space communication systems
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and management skills, including Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

  • Existing SECRET or higher clearance is highly desirable.
