RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's innovative client is looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager in Austin, TX.
Summary:
The Mechanical Construction Manager will play a critical role in managing and executing fast-paced complex Central Utility construction projects from start to finish. They will work closely with your project team, design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Your technical expertise, organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate will be key in coordinating and facilitating various aspects of the construction process.
Responsibilities:
* Development of project plans, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets
* Coordinate with the project superintendents to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
* Collaborate with the design team, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and drawings including resolving design clashes
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, and industry standards
* Monitor and audit project costs, invoices, & billings, comparing actuals against the budget while also Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternatives
* Conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, milestones, and upcoming activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (preferably Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; Master's degree is not a requirement, but a plus)
* 3-5 years of construction experience, including mechanical, plumbing, and/or process systems
* Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocols
* Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goals
* Willingness to work long hours, with a tenacious and ambitious approach to project goals
* Proficiency in project management software, design tools, and scheduling software
* Ability to problem solve and make difficult decisions rooted in data
* Confident in decision-making ability and coordinating among key stakeholders
* Experience in plumbing and both dry and wet mechanical systems
* Experience in Data Center and/or Chiller Plant Construction is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
