Job Purpose:

BTIG is seeking an experienced Windows Desktop Support Engineer to join our Technology Department in New York. This role provides in-person support for our local Trading Floor and corporate users, as well as some remote assistance.

The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and passionate about improving BTIG's technology platform.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, resolving end-user issues via our ticketing system (ServiceNow), phone, remote support, and desk-side visits.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices) and software (M365 Suite, antivirus, softphones).
Support trading floor systems, including market data feeds (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, ICE, Fidessa) and voice systems (Cisco, IPC turrets).
Troubleshoot hardware, Windows 11 and application issues.
Provide network support and troubleshooting for both wired and wireless configurations.
Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to investigate the root cause of issues.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of customer-facing IT support, preferably in a financial services environment (brokerage, hedge fund, or investment bank).
Experience supporting C-suite executives and other demanding users.
Technical Proficiencies:
Windows 11
Microsoft 365 Suite and basic understanding of endpoint management tools (SCCM, Azure Intune)
Understanding Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
PowerShell scripting
Understanding of Enterprise cloud infrastructure (Azure)
Familiarity with basic ITIL procedures.
High school degree required; college degree is strongly preferred.
Must have passed the MS-900 exam or be able to pass it within the first year of employment.

Compensation:
  • BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
  • The current estimated base salary range for this role is $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
