Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Austin, TX 78751 (Hybrid Onsite Monday & Friday)
Duration: 2 Months Contract
Work Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, 3 Days Remote, 2 Days Onsite
Local Candidates Only: Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support the Client s Regulatory LTC Application Team. This role focuses on managing complex technical database operations, including design, implementation, performance tuning, and data integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining database security, optimizing performance, supporting ETL development, and ensuring accessibility compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage database systems including creation, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • Lead efforts in logical and physical data modeling, design, and implementation of relational database models.
  • Evaluate and process user requests for new data elements and system enhancements.
  • Create and maintain scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and PL/SQL packages.
  • Perform database backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery tasks.
  • Ensure data integrity, control redundancy, and maintain the data dictionary.
  • Install, configure, and monitor database management tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related development and integration tasks.
  • Develop and update system and user documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (EIR, WCAG, Section 508).
  • Support users and teams in accessing data and resolving accessibility-related issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in:
    • Evaluating user data/system requests and incorporating into shared data environments
    • Using Data Modeling tools (Tableau, ADF, Informatica, etc.)
    • Creating logical and physical data models and ER diagrams
    • Implementing database objects in Oracle Cloud RDBMS and Salesforce CRM
    • Writing scripts using data modeling tools
    • Source-to-target mappings and ETL development
    • PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning
    • Performing requirement analysis and providing data mapping guidance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years:
    • Working cross-functionally in collaborative teams
    • Using creativity and judgment in technical planning
    • Operating under limited supervision with autonomy
  • 4+ years of professional communication and stakeholder reporting experience
  • 2+ years of:
    • Working knowledge of ETL tools and principles
    • Certifications in ADF or Informatica
    • Experience with PERL scripts and Tableau dashboards

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in systems analysis or computer programming
