SAIC's Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group (AFSI BG) is currently hiring to advance space capabilities supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community customers. Ten miles from the SAIC headquarters, our Chantilly, VA team supports systems acquisition & development, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration and more.
This position is for Program Security Engineer for a large, multi-year contract supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. Be part of a highly effective and collaborative front office team responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our staff and our program.
Program Security Engineer supports the SETA Program Management Office serving as the lead interface for multiple security responsibilities including Program Security, InfoSec/IT Security, and Facility Security. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Role Responsibilities:
Refine and guide the implementation of the Contract's Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP) based on the Customer's Program Protection Plan directing implementation of controls to protect classified information.
Refine and guide the implementation of the Contract's security Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) directing safe behaviors in secure program facilities. Lead annual self-inspections.
Gather information and generate Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for small program-managed IT systems. Coordinate packages with Customer Security Control Assessors (SCA) to receive and maintain ATO approvals.
Interface with Contractor and Government Program Security Officers (PSO) to advise on implementation of program security controls and mitigations.
Proactively partner with corporate security professionals including Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) and Information System Security Engineers (ISSE).
Qualifications
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
At least 4 years experience in program security or information systems security.
Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience.
Experience supporting DoD Special Access Programs (SAP) and adherence to the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).
Experience with IT accreditation including Intelligence Overlays.
Experience creating and maintaining Security related documentation
Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations).
Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with limited direct supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in an ISSM or ISSE role.
Experience working in a PSO role for a Program or Contract.
