Job Title: Sr AWS Developer

Location: NJ/NY
Job Type: W2 Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled AWS Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS services, cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and application development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on AWS.

  • Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other services.

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, system availability, and security.

  • Maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.

  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on AWS best practices.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience developing applications on AWS.

  • Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, etc.).

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Node.js, or similar).

  • Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven design.

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).

  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification.

  • Experience with microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, etc.).

  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
