Job Title: Sr AWS Developer
Location: NJ/NY
Job Type: W2 Contract
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled AWS Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS services, cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and application development.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on AWS.
Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other services.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, system availability, and security.
Maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on AWS best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience developing applications on AWS.
Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, etc.).
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Node.js, or similar).
Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven design.
Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, etc.).
Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
