Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Tech II/Communication Equipment Installer for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment.
  • Research, design, develop, and test installation of new equipment.
  • Integrate and fabricate cables.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experience.

Required experience:
  • Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems.

Required Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
