This requisition is for the role of Senior Systems Integration Engineer within USSOCOM/PEO-FW located at MacDill AFB, Tampa Florida. The successful candidate will leverage their experience and technical expertise to drive the integration of critical capabilities for USSOCOM, USAF, and AFSOC partners. This role serves as a central point for identifying and executing synergies across PEO-FW programs, with a primary focus on Strike and AISR (Airborne ISR) divisions. The goal is to optimize system performance and ensure the seamless deployment of advanced technologies to support our warfighters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Cross-Functional Integration: Spearhead integration efforts across Strike and AISR divisions, identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage shared technologies and capabilities. This requires deep collaboration with program managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders.
- Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide expert guidance on software development, engineering best practices, test methodologies, configuration management, networking/data-link integration, and system configurations to program teams.
- Test & Evaluation Oversight: Coordinate government test activities, ensuring alignment with USSOCOM standards and processes. This includes managing interactions with test organizations, end-users, and vendors, and reviewing/approving test reports.
- System-of-Systems Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of the PEO-FW system-of-systems architecture, ensuring interoperability and scalability of deployed capabilities.
- Requirements Management & Traceability: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, refine, and manage system requirements, ensuring full traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with system integration, developing and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and workflows, contributing to increased efficiency and effectiveness within PEO-FW.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration efforts, providing regular status updates and reports to program leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience (Required):
- Technical Breadth: A deep understanding of systems engineering principles, with experience in software development, hardware integration, and network architecture.
- SOF/AFSOC Expertise: Proven experience working with SOCOM platforms, AFSOC acquisition processes, and USSOCOM/AFSOC operational requirements.
- System-of-Systems Integration: Extensive experience in the integration of complex, distributed systems, including autonomous systems.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Problem-Solving: A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) and 15+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field and 10+ years of relevant experience
- Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD Acquisition Lifecycle Knowledge: Deep familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Cybersecurity Experience: Experience with multi-level security architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
- Innovation & Tech Transition: Experience with research, innovation, and technology maturation projects, particularly those focused on transitioning new technologies into operational programs.
- Standards & Compliance: Experience developing and implementing standards and compliance to reference architectures.
