IT Systems and Controls Specialist

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Systems and Controls Specialist to support internal audit and risk management functions within a financial services environment. This role focuses on evaluating IT and operational controls, identifying system vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Banking experience is required.

Direct Hire | $84-89k | Hybrid in Sacramento

Key Duties:

• Conduct control reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analyses


• Evaluate IT systems, applications, and cybersecurity controls


• Prepare audit documentation and present findings to management


• Support compliance with COSO, COBIT, SOX, and FFIEC standards

Requirements:

• 5 years' experience in IT role


• 2+ years of controls/audit experience (1+ year in IT controls)


• Strong communication and documentation skills


• Familiarity with financial systems and regulatory frameworks


• Preferred: CISA, CISSP, or CIA certification in progress
