Description

FULLY REMOTE CONTRACTOR POSITION. MUST BE A JENZABAR ERP IT CONSULTANT skilled in Programming and ERP Administration.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Jenzabar ERP Developer and Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Jenzabar ERP systems to join our team. This role combines advanced development expertise with system administration responsibilities to support, enhance, and maintain our Jenzabar ERP environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the system meets the needs of our organization, delivering innovative solutions, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Development

Design, develop, and customize Jenzabar ERP modules, including Jenzabar EX, JX, or ONE, to meet institutional requirements.

Write, test, and maintain complex scripts, reports, and integrations using Jenzabar tools (e.g., Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS), PowerBuilder, or SQL).

Develop and implement custom workflows, forms, and applications within the Jenzabar environment to enhance functionality.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver tailored solutions.

Integrate Jenzabar ERP with third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.

Optimize system performance through code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

Administration

Manage and maintain the Jenzabar ERP system, including system configuration, user account management, and security settings.

Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the platform remains secure and up-to-date.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors to ensure high availability and reliability.

Administer database environments (e.g., SQL Server or Oracle) supporting the Jenzabar ERP, including backups, restores, and performance optimization.

Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and customizations.

Provide end-user support and training, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.

Requirements

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with Jenzabar ERP systems (EX, JX, or ONE) in a development or administrative capacity.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in Jenzabar development tools, including PowerBuilder, JICS, and Jenzabar reporting tools.

o Strong SQL skills for querying, reporting, and database management (SQL Server or Oracle).

o Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and integration tools (e.g., APIs, ETL processes).

o Familiarity with higher education processes, including student information systems, finance, and HR modules.

Administrative Skills:

o Hands-on experience with Jenzabar system administration, including user management, security configurations, and system upgrades.

o Knowledge of database administration principles, backup/recovery processes, and performance tuning.

Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering user-centric solutions.

o Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Certifications: Jenzabar-specific certifications or training (e.g., Jenzabar Technical Consultant Certification) are a plus.
