RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Merriam, KS that is seeking a Business Analyst for an onsite contract opportunity.
Summary:
The fundamental responsibilities will be capturing and documenting functional requirements, documenting system functionality, documenting logical designs in various formats, and helping guide testing via test scenarios and business UAT guidance. A significant amount of time will be spent documenting the systems IT supports today by collaborating with the business and IT team members who currently enhance and support them.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct interviews to gather requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, logical data modeling, and other methods; Identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics
* Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
* Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project teams
* Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
* Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on user requirements
* Develop and conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
* Prioritize, manage, and track the status of requirements, with appropriate stakeholders, throughout the project lifecycle; Enforce and redefine, as necessary
* Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
REQUIREMENTS:
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be highly collaborative, detail oriented, and able to draw out and accurately document business requirements
* The candidate will become a functional expert in the systems assigned to them
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
