SAP WM Functional Consultant

Job Title: SAP WM Functional Consultant (EWM should not be a primary module)

Location: Summit, NJ (100% Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months (High possibility of extension based on budget and/or performance

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to warehouse and inventory management in the Service Goods domain.
• Configure, customize, and enhance SAP WM to support operational efficiency and compliance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and cross-functional SAP teams (MM, SD, PP, EWM) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Perform system testing, support UAT, and provide go-live and post-go-live support.
• Optimize warehouse operations including put-away, picking, packing, inventory counts, and goods movement processes.
• Assist in the migration of legacy systems or upgrades involving SAP WM.
• Create functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, and reports.
• Provide end-user training and prepare system documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6 10 years of experience in SAP WM Functional Consulting.
• At least 2 full lifecycle SAP WM implementations, preferably in the Service Goods industry.
• Strong understanding of warehouse structures, inventory types, and goods movement scenarios.
• Experience with inbound/outbound logistics, cycle counting, inventory management, and stock transfers.
• Proficiency in SAP WM integration with MM, SD, and EWM.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations specific to service goods (e.g., returns, refurbishments, service spares tracking).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Knowledge of SAP EWM or S/4HANA WM.
• Experience with barcode scanning, RF devices, or mobile data entry in warehouse environments.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for warehouse processes.
• Industry certifications (SAP WM, S/4HANA Logistics) are a plus.
