Job Description

The Data Security Analyst Intern will support the cybersecurity team in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This role provides hands-on experience with security tools, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities, while contributing to the organization s overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in analyzing data security incidents Investigate and analyze potential security incidents using tools such as CrowdStrike and other technologies. Help identify root causes, assess impact, and recommend mitigation measures.

  2. Support incident response efforts Participate in incident response activities, including containment, evidence gathering, and forensic analysis, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  3. Conduct vulnerability assessments Assist in performing regular assessments of critical systems and applications, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies.

  4. Monitor and analyze security events Help review logs, alerts, and reports from security tools to detect threats, breaches, or unusual activity, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

  5. Collaborate with stakeholders Work with internal teams and external partners to gather security requirements, recommend controls, and support implementation of data protection measures.

  6. Documentation and reporting Contribute to incident reports, SOPs, security guidelines, and periodic updates on incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.

  7. Stay updated on emerging technologies and threats Research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to strengthen the cybersecurity program.
