The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development while driving full lifecycle management across multiple teams.
The position champions architectural excellence, operational delivery, and continuous improvement through automation and telemetry. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Manager guides technical decisions, mentors engineers, and manages complex initiatives to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions that serve millions of customers and associates.

The Customer Care Technology team develops advanced customer service solutions impacting millions worldwide. Comprising software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, the team drives innovative Generative AI applications within complex enterprise environments.
As part of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Systems, it collaborates closely with product, business, and UX partners to deliver measurable business value. The team emphasizes scalable, secure, and maintainable software design while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence to support Walmart's mission of helping customers save money and live better.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

- Mentor engineers, promote technical quality, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, track metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
