Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Finance Operations Lead to join Client s Marketing, Creative, Design, and Communications (MCDC) team.
This key role requires a collaborative financial operator with exceptional budget management skills and hands-on experience supporting large, cross-functional organizations. As the central owner of our budget management operations, you ll oversee workflows, drive process improvements, and ensure accuracy and transparency across complex projects and cost centers. You ll engage with stakeholders at every level, partner closely with Finance and business leaders, and play a vital role in delivering operational excellence and empowering our teams to innovate and grow.
What you ll do:

  • Lead the overall budget management operations across the Marketing, Creative, Design, and Comms org, overseeing all workflows, process improvements, and reporting related to financial management, while managing diverse stakeholder groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with Finance, Deal Desk, Accounting, and business partners to drive budget operations, ensuring all forecasts are accurate within an acceptable range versus actuals.
  • Monitor and track budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures for all projects, ensuring accuracy, timely inputs, and accountability across numerous cost centers.
  • Own budget tracker hygiene: consolidate monthly inputs, review/approve changes, maintain up-to-date documentation, and submit accurate data to Finance and S&O leaders.
  • Coordinate with business partners to document and action budget changes, requests, and savings, engaging teams through email, Slack, office hours, intake forms, and other tools/systems.
  • Oversee the monthly financial reporting process: prepare highlights, consolidate inputs into central dashboards and sheets, and communicate key insights and takeaways to executive leadership, including the CMO, S&O VP, and the MCDC Leadership Team.
  • Create, update, and maintain playbooks, training collateral, and standard operating procedures to ensure best-in-class processes for budget management across the org.
  • Identify opportunities, leveraging AI and automation, to increase budget and operational efficiency, proactively mitigating risks and ensuring financial integrity. Including tracker simplification and tooling upgrades (including tools like Pigment, Anaplan, Tableau, and Asana).


Skills

What we re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial operations, FP&A, or related roles supporting large, cross-functional organizations and navigating the needs of multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong track record owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple cost centers or business units.
  • Proven experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, and business leaders to deliver accurate forecasts, drive accountability, and optimize budgets.
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining budget trackers and documentation, preparing executive-level reporting, and managing financial communications across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience identifying operational improvements and implementing digital solutions/automation (including AI-driven tools) for risk management and efficiency.
  • Deep proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and experience with financial systems/workflow tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, Tableau, or Asana.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to synthesize complex financial information for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and enabling others through knowledge sharing and documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
