You will have the opportunity to help us shape the future of our team and capabilities, entrusted with everything from the requirements, design, development, integration, and flight testing. Your technical knowledge of Comms hardware systems, object-oriented architectures, object-oriented design, and integrated development environments will be relied on frequently as we solve large complexities using commercial and military systems to reduce cost and maintainability.

Beyond that, you may also find yourself:
Frequently interacting with inter-organizational representatives as well as internal and external customers.
Involved in integration activities that will include many host systems, such as live assets, ground stations, simulated systems, and laboratory environments.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics or other Science related discipline
- IP Network Design, Mastery of the OSI Model & associated Protocols, Network Hardware Deployment
- Experience in Layer 2/3 networking, including VLANS, STP, OSPF and BGP
- Experience in networking theory and technologies (OSI Model, TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
- Set up and maintenance of network switches and routers
- Demonstrate experience configuring and deploying General Dynamics Taclanes
- Demonstrate experience with tunneling implementation, troubleshooting
- Experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls
- Artifacts generation in UML/SysSML using Rhapsody or similar tool to create class diagrams, sequence of events diagrams and activity diagrams
- Knowledge of the Agile process

- Ability to travel up to 10%

This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Secret clearance required to start.***

Desired skills

- Experience with network monitoring tools including the use of SNMP, NetFlow and various telemetry tools
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies including Juniper Session Smart Router
- Experience with deploying Hypervisor VMs in a server environment
- Experience creating network diagrams and designs using software such as Vision or Cameo
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to network optimization and incident response.
- Ability to develop and present network designs, architecture designs, and technology roadmaps to both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, security, and program management teams to ensure network solutions align with program and security objectives.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
