Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an AML Analyst for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct the regulatory review of onboarding of US Global Banking and Markets clients in an efficient, compliant, and client-centric manner.
  • Question and review the work of others and to take a stand when necessary to protecting the interest of the bank.
  • Resolve day to day matters for the Quality Control team in the US.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of both the Bank's and the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, and Bank Office processes.
  • Continuously look to improve/streamline the onboarding process for efficiency gains by understanding the end-to-end flow.
  • Follow and adhere to AML controls, including review of high risk customers, PEP screenings, and standard KYC / AML policies.
  • Make independent decisions and support them in the event of challenge.
  • Maintain and assist with QC-KYC metrics while applying personal pipeline management.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of internal policies and procedures.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to implement new procedures and regulations to meet and exceed internal / external audit standards.

Required Skills:
  • 2-4+ years of experience in KYC (specifically in Corporate Banking)
  • Strong working knowledge of AML and Regulatory practices
  • Strong understanding of client screening process (I.E utilizing tools to understand corporate structures)
  • High Attention to Detail and Data Analysis skills
  • Prior experience with World-Check and/or Fenergo (or equivalent software)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:
  • Utilizing Google News and other online search engines for news related to corporate entities
