MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Needs more of a super strong Systems Engineer with some  Architect experience – this person must be very versatile – i.e. has handled legacy type activities but knows and has strong experience with Azure
• This is a smaller company than the Exxon’s, etc. so this person needs to be able to contribute in more ways than one.
• Design and implement new apps and advise management on what needs to be done

• VMWare
• Hyper V
• Backup and Recovery knowledge
• General storage knowledge
• Be the advisor, SME on all Sys administration/architect type functions…
• Email and protection management
• General security of systems

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex system architectures, including cloud-based solutions, enterprise systems, and integration frameworks
• Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, data management, and IT infrastructure
• Experience with architectural modeling tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms (e.g., Azure, SCADA systems)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a focus on fostering teamwork and professional growth
• The position requires manual dexterity to handle documents and operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, shredders, and computers
• Also required is performing repetitive motions and extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking for varying lengths of time

• This role involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external vendors, to ensure that our systems meet current and future needs
• Develop and maintain high-level architecture designs for systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Create and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the organization
• Design and oversee the integration of various systems and technologies to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with development teams and vendors to implement and assess system integrations, ensuring compatibility and performance
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend solutions that enhance system capabilities and support business innovation
• Assess current systems and architectures to identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Work closely with business leaders, project managers, and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions
• Provide guidance and support during the implementation phase to ensure successful deployment and integration of systems
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including system diagrams, design specifications, and integration plans

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in system architecture, with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex system architectures, including cloud-based solutions, enterprise systems, and integration frameworks.
Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, data management, and IT infrastructure.
Experience with architectural modeling tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms (e.g., Azure, SCADA systems).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
