Location: Blue Bell, PA
Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Manager, Information Systems

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Information Systems Manager to lead a team of application developers and support personnel. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining Policy and Underwriting applications while spearheading the transition to a cloud-based Guidewire platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to modernize technology, introduce digital capabilities, and drive application efficiency in alignment with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for application development and support teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise initiatives.
• Guide the transition to Guidewire InsuranceSuite in the Cloud, including skillset transformation and technology implementation.
• Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in compliance with internal project management standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define IT strategies and multi-year plans that support business objectives.
• Develop business cases for IT projects and secure governance approvals.
• Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
• Ensure system reliability and performance through effective support operations and technology updates.
• Participate in budgeting, capital planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as IT Product Owner for assigned applications and may act as Project Sponsor or Project Manager for key initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Conduct performance reviews, set team goals, and manage vendor invoicing.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT and business experience, including leadership roles on enterprise-level initiatives.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience in IT, including performance management.
• 3+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, preferably in a cloud environment (certifications a plus).
• Commercial insurance industry experience is required.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies; SAFe Agile experience is a plus.
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and IT audit controls.
• Proficiency in Jira and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading insurance systems modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
• Certifications in Project Management, Agile, SCRUM, or ITIL.
• Experience with both distributed and mainframe technology environments.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
