Job Details

Our global SaaS client seeks a contract Tax Compliance Analyst. This is a fully remote role.

The goal of the Compliance Analyst is to exceed clients' expectations by providing exceptional customer support in addition to producing timely and accurate results. This position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential. The Tax Compliance Analyst is a customer-faced representative for their clients' experience.

Contract Duration: 7-Months

  • Ability to learn and apply tax compliance across the spectrum of registration and reporting requirements and impact/consequence of non-compliance.

  • College education w/ preferred major in Finance, accounting, mathematics, economics, or computer sciences.
  • General accounting, Finance, Compliance or Tax reporting within a corporate setting or within banking or financial services related industries
  • Implementation of accounting, financial management or tax automation systems
  • Working for a State or local department of Revenue (DOR) with taxpayer registration and/or reporting responsibilities.
  • Data management and analysis, developing databases, data mapping or validation rules & processes

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Fluent in our product setup and review of settings with customers
  • Engage with customers/clients to review and resolve - product and returns setup, data or reporting issues
  • Prep and file indirect tax returns and/or license/registrations
  • Understand and apply jurisdiction knowledge as part of the tax compliance services delivered
  • Engage with state and local jurisdictions on behalf of customers/clients to resolve tax compliance issues
  • Recommend product and/or process enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce risk
  • QA/test product, form or filing automations (new and changes to existing) that impact filing
  • Keep up with knowledge requirements for statutory changes in assigned jurisdictions
  • Engage cross functionally to review/resolve customer/client issues
