Job Details
Job Description:
- Act as the primary local contact and subject matter expert for the LAP system, including LAP NAR Business Objects reports.
- Collaborate with end users, business analysts, and developers.
- Provide comprehensive support for the LAP (Local Accounting Platform) application during business days in Canada and the US, with on-call availability outside of standard hours.
- Ensure extended support coverage during quarter-end periods, including weekends.
- Consolidate and maintain the existing knowledge database.
- Automate recurring tasks and reporting processes.
- Provide input on technical design efforts.
- Coordinate with other LAP support team members and stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Manage issues and requests via ServiceNow and JIRA.
- Handle direct problem resolution and escalate bugs as needed.
- Manage application and server access in coordination with developers.
- Adhere to service management procedures and maintain high-quality ticket handling.
- Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, resolve, and escalate user and application issues.
- Conduct proactive application and system monitoring.
- Maintain active communication with users, management, developers, and peers.
- Participate in technical and functional quality reviews.
- Provide continuous support as part of a global LAP support team.
- Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5 7 years of IT experience, preferably in a support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in a banking environment is preferable.
- UNIX/Linux.
- Shell Scripting.
- SQL (Sybase or Oracle).
- C++ or Java.
- Accounting systems knowledge.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of Autosys.
- Knowledge of Business Objects.
- ITIL Foundation understanding.
- Python proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and with flexibility.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management.
