Position: Enterprise Architect
Location: Fully Remote
Onsite Requirement: Remote
4.5 month contract-to-hire
Description:
As part of the enterprise architecture team, you will help develop the current and future architectures for strategic platforms. You will work with enterprise solution and system architects to build architectural roadmaps, standards, policies, and governance for key areas, including microservices, integration, and automation through product roadmaps. You will be responsible for the long-term strategic vision, considering the big picture together with business and technical stakeholders. You will set the vision and framework for architecture styles, platforms, and tools. Enterprise architects are enablers of change from a business-technology perspective and help transformation succeed through hands-on demonstrations of new principles and approaches, communicating changes across many viewpoints and governing progress toward the overall strategy for IT capabilities.
Additionally, you will be responsible for outlining high-level strategy, design and technology requirements to support Lumen's Public Sector line of business, ensuring compliance with NIST, DFAR, CMMC, FedRAMP and other critical cybersecurity frameworks and control implementation. This includes ensuring adherence to requirements, developing and maintaining documentation for Federal/Public Sector compliance.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proven leadership in managing teams that implement sophisticated architectures.
- Understand key concepts within the Quote, Order, and/or Service Assurance, Service Management space, including delivering key architectures to support SaaS implementations, Digital Transformation, and Data Transformation.
- Participate in design reviews and demos as part of implementation meetings.
- Help architects outline solution/systems level/low-level designs for their work.
Some aspects of the job will include:
- Building architectural strategy and vision for product roadmaps.
- Performing architectural governance for application architectures and APIs.
- Supporting key corporate initiatives to meet critical timelines related to architectural and product roadmaps.
- Driving API and event-driven architectures.
- Serving as the top-level escalation point for architectural decisions and issues.
- Following up with various stakeholders to review roadmaps.
- Driving technology decisions across the organization and delivering industry-standard recommendations.
- Driving application and technology to support business capabilities.
- Driving enterprise architecture landscape and product roadmaps.
- Collaborating to develop high-level end-to-end technical and functional architecture.
Required Characteristics:
- Total Experience: 15 years, with at least 5 years in the Federal and State sectors.
- NIST and CMMC Expertise:
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53/171 Standards.
- Experience with CMMC Level 2 Practices.
- Experience with FedRAMP Control Frameworks.
- Employing architectural designs, software development techniques, and systems engineering principles that promote effective information security within organizational systems.
- Evidence and Documentation:
- Experience providing evidence and supporting documentation to demonstrate the secure practices used to build technology platform-specific secure baseline configurations.
- Cloud Solutions:
- Experience with architecting infrastructure, platforms, and workloads hosted in Gov Compliant Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Federal/Public Sector Architecture:
- Extensive experience in the Federal and/or Public Sector space.
- Understanding of the required architecture to support Federal and Public Sector customers, including:
- Authorization Boundaries.
- Data Architecture.
- CUI data requirements.
- Implementing and maintaining CMMC 2.0 controls.
- Ensuring compliance with NIST guidelines and frameworks.
- FedRAMP requirements (Moderate and High).
- Developing and maintaining documentation for Federal/Public Sector compliance.
- Suitability requirements.
- Communication and Detail Orientation:
- Good communicator who can translate business requirements and gather necessary information from business owners.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and accountable.
- Technical Knowledge:
