Job Title: IT Procurement Technician 2
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the Role:
The AES Group Inc. is seeking two experienced IT Procurement Technician 2 professionals to support a major public sector client in the health domain. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop solicitation packages, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise in IT procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and edit procurement documents, including RFPs
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to tailor solicitation content
- Support Medicaid & CHIP Services (MCS) and IT teams in procurement strategy
- Coordinate procurement timelines, posting, and management in alignment with agency policy
- Lead editorial and quality assurance processes for solicitation packages
- Contribute to JAD sessions, cost modeling, performance measures, and financial documentation
- Serve as SME in procurement workgroups and deliver training presentations as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience writing RFPs
- 5 years of experience leading JAD sessions
- 5 years in developing key performance metrics for solicitation
- 5 years performing QA on procurement documents/projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Medicaid
- Experience with AS-IS/TO-BE process flows
- Experience with cost models, pricing workbooks, and financial requirement documents
- Familiarity with Federal funding requests (P-APD/I-APD)
- Knowledge of the State Procurement & Contract Management Guide
- Experience drafting RFPs within state health agencies
- Proven track record negotiating large-scale IT contracts
- CTCD or CTCM certification is a plus
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Location: Austin, TX
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Hybrid model: Onsite (Monday to Wednesday) and Remote (Thursday to Friday)
- All travel-related expenses must comply with the state guidelines and require pre-approval
