Financial Data System Analyst

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Datarails Implementation Consultant to help accelerate the configuration and deployment of the platform. The successful candidate must have direct, hands-on Datarails experience and will be responsible for troubleshooting, optimizing configuration, and building out reporting within the system.

This is a highly technical role, where FP&A knowledge is secondary. The consultant will partner with finance leadership to ensure Datarails delivers accurate and timely reporting and budgeting capabilities, with forecasting functionality to follow. 100% remote

Responsibilities:

• Accelerate the configuration and optimization of Datarails.
• Troubleshoot existing setup issues and resolve configuration gaps.
• Build financial reporting in Datarails, starting with P&L, then extending to balance sheet and cash flow.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal team members to ensure long-term adoption.
• Immediate priority is budgeting and reporting; forecasting functionality will be enabled later.

• Configure and optimize Datarails to meet reporting and budgeting needs.
• Collaborate with the CFO and finance team to ensure system outputs align with business requirements.
• Deliver hands-on support and guidance during the 6 8 week contract.

Requirements:

• Direct, hands-on experience with Datarails (required).
• Strong technical expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Datarails.
• Experience building reports and financial models inside Datarails.
• Ability to train and upskill internal team members.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Must work Central Time Zone hours.

Special Mentions:

• Must have direct Datarails experience (non-negotiable).
• NetSuite GL is already integrated with Datarails.
• Candidate must be able to work closely with finance leadership (including the CFO) and provide knowledge transfer to internal analysts.
