Synergis client, a wholesale distributor for the home dcor, event planning & floral industries, has engaged us in a search for an eCommerce Development Manager to join their growing team. The eCommerce Development Manager will play a key role in the future of our client s e-commerce platform. With a focus on Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) the selected candidate will be responsible for leading a small team, building new features, editing existing features, and helping to plan and architect solutions. This role will be crucial in driving the technical direction of our client s e-commerce initiatives, ensuring they remain industry leaders in their space.
Lead Magento Developer | Background and Scope

  • Lead the development and continuous enhancement of our client s e-commerce platform, primarily focusing on Magento 2.
  • Design and implement new features while improving the functionality and performance of existing features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Architect scalable and innovative solutions that enhance our e-commerce capabilities.
  • Manage a small team of backend and frontend developers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set development goals for team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest e-commerce trends and technologies and incorporate best practices into development projects.
  • Planning and deploying features while ensuring on-time delivery of our development efforts.

Lead Magento Developer| Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in e-commerce development with a strong portfolio showcasing projects built on Magento 2.
  • Proficient in coding and debugging PHP, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce principles, UX/UI design considerations, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience leading and managing development teams with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce KPIs and metrics, with a track record of leveraging these insights to drive sales and improve customer experience.

Lead Magento Developer | Preferred

  • Magento 2 certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, considered a huge plus.
    • Familiarity with integrating e-commerce solutions with financial and inventory management systems.
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
