Colorado Springs-East is adding a full-time MRI/CT/XR Technologist to our team!
Position Pay Range $39.10 - $48.56| Monday-Thursday; 11:30 am -10:00 pm |
$5,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible hires.
Summary/Objective:
The Multi-Modality Technologist performs MRI procedures, CT and X-Ray examinations according to protocol and age specific needs including patient preparation. Positions patient and performs scans using proper technical factors, maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.
Essential Functions
- Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions/explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
- Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient s condition changes at any time.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Two plus years experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) preferred
- Two plus years experience in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
- Two plus years experience in X-Ray preferred
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously exceed company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Education/Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
- Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Registry in Radiography (R)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
