Job Details

Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to build and scale robust infrastructure, platform capabilities, and automation frameworks for a fast-growing organization. You will lead a team dedicated to empowering development teams with reliable, efficient, and scalable tools. As part of the broader engineering leadership, your insights will shape technical direction, drive collaboration, and champion operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Technical Leadership
Define and steward the vision for infrastructure and platform services-evaluating trade-offs around performance, cost, scalability, and reliability.
  • Team Leadership & Growth
Recruit, guide, and develop a team of DevOps engineers and platform specialists. Foster a culture centered on learning, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Infrastructure & Automation
Lead implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) and scalable automation pipelines for high-speed development cycles and consistent delivery.
  • Reliability & Resilience
Architect systems with SLOs, SLIs, and incident response processes. Prioritize systems built to self-heal and recover with minimal downtime.
  • Observability & Monitoring
Design and roll out observability stacks-log aggregation, distributed tracing, alerts, dashboards-to maintain a clear view into system health.
  • Operational Processes
Develop reliable incident playbooks, documentation, and change management procedures that support dependable, repeatable operations.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment
Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to design platform solutions that elevate team productivity and efficiency.
  • Technical Debt & Scalability
Identify and remediate infrastructure bottlenecks or debt to ensure systems remain scalable and maintainable over time.
Qualifications
  • Experience
Minimum 8 years in software engineering, site reliability, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, especially with modern cloud-native environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
  • Leadership
At least 2 years managing technical teams-including hiring, mentorship, and team growth in a fast-paced context.
  • DevOps & CI/CD
Deep familiarity with CI/CD tooling and automation best practices. Comfortable working with pipelines or tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or others.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Containerization
Expertise in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Reliability Engineering
Successful track record introducing observability (monitoring/tracing), implementing SLIs/SLOs, and driving incident response and postmortems.
  • Communication & Influence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to translate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Culture & Values
A leader known for cultivating trust, ownership, continuous improvement, and high standards across teams.
Estimated Compensation Range
USD $250,000 - $300,000 annually (inclusive of base salary plus potential bonuses and equity incentives).
Benefits & Perks (Typical Offering)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time off & company-observed holidays
  • Retirement plan options (e.g., 401(k)) with potential match
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for healthcare/dependents
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employee wellness and mental health programs (e.g., access to therapy, wellness reimbursements)
