Job Details

Piper Companies is looking for a Tier 3 Application Support Technician to join a consulting firm serving clients in a variety of industries including petrochemical companies. This is a full-time position and fully onsite in New Castle, DE.

Essential Duties of the Tier 3 Application Support Technician:
  • Responsible for the provisioning, deployment, troubleshooting, support, upgrading, and migration of various computer applications critical to refinery operations.
  • Serve as a Level 3 Application Support resource, solving complex issues.
  • Interact with clients to assess the scope and impact of technical challenges.
  • Assist with provisioning, deployment, upgrading, and migration of application software.
  • Develop strategies to minimize business disruption during system upgrades or migrations.


Qualifications of the Tier 3 Application Support Technician:
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with applications specific to oil refinery operations.
  • Experience supporting application such as Honeywell Experion, AspenTech Software Suite, SAP PM, SAP MM, Emerson DeltaV, AVEVAV, and more.
  • "Nice to have" experience with scripting languages like PowerShell.


Compensation for the Tier 3 Application Support Technician:
  • $100,000 - $130,000 (based on experience)
