Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Engineering Lead with hands-on technical skills and strategic planning experience to drive the rollout of Windows 11. This is a high-visibility, hybrid technical/strategic role involving both deployment leadership and guidance on best practices for endpoint modernization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise desktop environments, including Autopilot, and be comfortable traveling to remote sites to oversee execution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Windows 11 upgrade project across a multi-site, multi-national environment
  • Provide strategic recommendations for deployment sequencing, device reimaging, and hardware refresh vs. reuse planning
  • Collaborate with internal IT and business stakeholders to define deployment frameworks, timelines, and success metrics
  • Travel to site locations to oversee and support deployments, troubleshoot escalations, and ensure consistent rollout
  • Evaluate and implement Microsoft Autopilot and Endpoint Manager (Intune) for streamlined provisioning
  • Develop SOPs and best practices for ongoing support, reimaging, and device lifecycle management
  • Act as a technical and strategic advisor on modern desktop infrastructure for both current and future state
  • Support consideration and planning for device procurement and phased rollout of new vs. reimaged devices

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in desktop engineering or endpoint management, with a track record of leading enterprise-level OS deployments
  • Strong familiarity with Windows 11 migration, Autopilot, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Experience in project-based desktop rollouts involving cross-site coordination
  • Ability to advise on hardware refresh strategies and reimaging methodologies
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring teams is highly preferred
