Job Details

Job Title:- SecOps Engineer

Location:- Livingston, NJ (Hybrid preferred)

Job Description:-

Client is looking for:

  • A hands-on Security Operations Manager (or lead-level candidate ready to step up) with experience building or maturing a SecOps function and leading small teams.
  • Strong grounding in compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO, SOC2) and security governance, with client-facing experience around security/privacy discussions and RFPs.
  • Solid technical familiarity with Windows environments, plus working knowledge of cloud (AWS, Azure), and the foresight to help grow a future-facing security team (AI/dev vulnerabilities awareness is a bonus, not a must).

This can be a manager or someone who is a lead looking to grow. What its probably not going to be at this budget is A SecOps Leader out of a huge company that had 50 people underneath him because yes those people would be making more of a 200k+ salary

Client does understand that it may not be realistic to expect that the person in this position will be capable of being an expert in vulnerability threats around development, AI, etc and be able to join software dev meetings and detect all of them etc.

But, in a forward thinking way that s where he sees this team going and they may be adding folks with that background in the future. So, knowing enough to build out a team and security practice around governance and vulnerability protection is what he is looking for (not expecting this manager to be the expert but it would be nice if they have some of this in their background)

Candidates should have strong experience in AWS, Azure and Secops .
