RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is looking for a Technical Writer-Cyber & Physical Security.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain documentation for cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
* Create technical manuals, user guides, system architecture diagrams, and training materials for security tools and platforms
* Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to document incident response plans, risk assessments, and vulnerability management processes
* Translate complex security concepts into accessible content for internal stakeholders, clients, and auditors
* Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
* Maintain version control and ensure timely updates to documentation based on system changes or audit feedback
* Assist in the creation of knowledge base articles and FAQs for internal security tools and platforms
* Support communication efforts around cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
* 3-5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a cybersecurity or IT environment
* Experience working with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners)
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, terminology, and frameworks
* Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Markdown, Adobe Acrobat)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
