Vaco is actively seeking an AS400 Systems Engineer / RPG Developer for a direct-hire position with our client in St. Louis.

IBM Systems Engineer Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AS400 system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of AS400 infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems and related hardware and software components.
- Monitor AS400 system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect AS400 systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AS400 systems with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Design, code, test, and debug RPG or RPGLE programs and modules according to project requirements.
