Swoon is hiring a Senior SAP Functional Consultant (EAM, Work Order Management modules) for one of its clients in California, a large Oil & Gas company.
This is a full-time role, hybrid out of Oakland, CA.
Client Industry - Oil and Gas industry
Title- Principal IT SAP Work Management Functional Analyst
Pay rate - 170k+ annually
Location - Hybrid (2 times a week Oakland, CA)
*H1B Visas not allowed*
Position Summary
The role of the Principal IT SAP Work Management Functional Analyst is to configure, implement, maintain, and upgrade SAP Enterprise Resources Planning Plant Maintenance and Project Systems application modules.
The Functional Analyst analyzes business requirements, creates functional design documents and performs ERP system configuration and customization to provide system solutions for the Line of Business and IT organizations.

Responsibilities
- Define standards and drive adaptation in enterprise work management area and document and maintain standard for all use cases.
- Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs of the across business functional areas and potentially external entities.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the present and future business landscape within organizations. Proactively anticipate, identify, and address business needs by adopting an integrated approach, utilizing both existing and emerging capabilities within the ERP system.
- Propose and advocate for IT solutions that effectively address complex, cross-organizational business challenges. Engage in negotiation processes for requirements and deliverables across diverse business and IT stakeholders.
- Assess existing system customizations to provide insights into the associated risks and costs. Advocate for the use of standard functionalities, emphasizing the potential to reduce future implementation costs and the overall total cost of ownership (TCO) for solutions.
- Review design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solution
- Responsible for application architecture design for large project or multi module and applications.
- 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in Enterprise Asset management and plant maintenance
- BS/MA/MS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience on SAP S4Hana, Plant Maintenance, EAM (enterprise asset management module), Intelligent Asset Manager, Oracle P6/Primavera, or similar tools such as Infor EAM, Maximo.
