WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING
We care deeply about transforming lives with AMD technology to enrich our industry, our communities, and the world. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences - the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming and embedded. Underpinning our mission is the AMD culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.
AMD together we advance_
Job Role and Responsibility: AMD is hiring MTS Firmware Engineers to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, electronic engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug computer software for electronic device hardware. Develop software and tools in support of electronic design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, and/or databases. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Develop AMD's next-generation 3D graphics enablement and advanced feature verification for industry-leading application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). Develop new architecture diagnostic test strategy definition and test methodology studies. Determine test strategies for Cache related features (i.e., GL1, GL2C, GUS, TCP, UTC) and work with design teams to define test strategies that are software visible and testable. Develop new tests for mission-critical features in 3D graphics intellectual property (IP) and study the effectiveness of the new strategies/methodologies. Work with emulator teams to enable the performance counter and verify new libraries/tests on the hardware emulator to prove and fine-tune test effectiveness. Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers, electric and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. And apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD systems and products.
