Technical Engineer Oracle JDE (Level III)

Vega is hiring for our client a highly experienced Technical Engineer to support Oracle JD Edwards (JDE), with a focus on resolving complex Level III data-related issues. This is a hybrid contract to hire role, and candidates must be able to work onsite in Canyon Lake, TX or Clinton, CT.

This role partners closely with DevOps teams to ensure system changes, enhancements, and architectural improvements are efficiently designed, tested, and deployed across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level III technical support for Oracle JDE, with emphasis on data integrity, integrations, and performance

  • Manage strategic planning, technical architecture, and governance for enterprise applications supporting HR, Procurement, Finance, and Compliance

  • Align database and application architecture with organizational goals, ensuring scalability and interoperability

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to roll out enhancements and optimizations using CI/CD and automation best practices

  • Oversee system performance, security, and compliance across platforms

  • Act as a technical authority for enterprise architecture and application management

  • Support cloud infrastructure environments, including Azure and Active Directory

  • Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases and middleware integrations

  • Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks and security standards, including SOX

  • Mentor junior engineers and serve as a key technical advisor to management and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise engineering, architecture, or systems support

  • Strong experience supporting Oracle JD Edwards in complex enterprise environments

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, Active Directory)

  • Proven experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting

  • Experience working in regulated environments and following IT standards and security policies

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound technical judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, or DevOps

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring less-experienced staff

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
