Description

We are inviting applications for a Data Center Technician L2 in Swepsonville, NC. Will be part of a local team to manage day to day operations of a data center for one of our top national clients. This is a long term contract opportunity working with a fantastic team.

This is onsite in Swepsonville, NC and Haw River, NC

Responsibilities:

Monitors network management system and engages telecom providers to drive restoral efforts.

Tracks incident details and keeps information updated in the incident management tool in a timely manner with accurate information.

Solves systems and network problems/questions with limited scope and complexity.

Applies technical knowledge to oversee high availability IP networks messaging systems and data communications equipment and systems.

Identifies resolutions of routine technical queries.

Rack, stack, cabling, testing, etc. installation of new servers and network devices in the data center.

Monitors and troubleshoots system performance troubleshoots resolves or escalates network issues.

Understands deployment configuration and maintenance routines and develops tools to make the process more efficient.

Scheduling of maintenance windows, deployments, following company change management policies.

Produce network performance statistics and provide network diagnostic information.

Collaborate effectively with various IT technology pillars and business users.

Implement network engineering solutions and monitor their effectiveness.

Design and present detailed reports on network performance and improvements.

Requirements

Cisco CCNP or CCNA Certification is preferred.

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.

Experience with cabling, racking, stacking and deployment of servers and network devices.

Experience troubleshooting Cisco enterprise class devices.

Experience with hardware repair or swaps on network devices or servers.

Experience with load balancers in a data center/colocation environment.

Understanding of HVAC concepts related to colocation/data centers. Proficient in communication and collaboration, able to work effectively in team settings

Experienced in documentation and review processes, with an eye for quality and detail

Experience in dealing with suppliers and component selection

Familiarity with configuration management, backup technologies, and restore procedures

Able to meet set targets and deadlines

Experience in working in a datacenter environment
