ZOS Mainframe Admin

Qualification:

5+ years direct experience in z/OS upgrading, installs, configuring and managing compatibility with other z/OS products. Experience with Coupling facilities and RACF a plus. Adhere to best practices for maintaining currency and availability of the mainframe environment with HIPERs and Fixcats.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for on-going product currency and maintenance insuring it operates in an optimized manner.
2. Possess and maintain a working knowledge of the product within the client mainframe ecosystem.
3. Support incident response and change implementation as needed.
4. Work within a team setting offering product knowledge expertise as required. Extensive knowledge of IBM zEnterprise server hardware and in-depth working knowledge of TCP, UDP, ICMP communications
Provide technical support for z/OS Communication Server components.
Good Knowledge on VTAM, TCPIP, XFB, Connect Direct, GDPS and Sysplex
Implementation and support of Mainframe security solutions including z/OS IDS, AT-TLS, IPsec VPN
Participate in design, development, and implementation of highly available and secure Mainframe networking solutions, to include Network systems programming and data center capabilities
Provide problem determination and resolution for network connectivity, encryption, and transmission issues.
Work as a team member with other technical staff, and teams to ensure High available, secure connectivity solutions and compatibility between systems
Hands on Experience is z/OS Upgrade, Toleration Maintenance.
Hands on Experience in Third Party Product Installation and Maintenance.
Hands on Experience in Net view Automation, SA 390 (Tivoli System Automation product).
Hands on experience in REXX programming
