RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Software Engineer IV.

Who does the team work with?
The Software Engineer will collaborate with industry experts from many disciplines: software architects, network engineers, data scientists, billing experts, mediation engineers, radio engineers, content security specialists, and various video technologists. In this role, you will also engage with quality assurance engineers, technical operators, and product owners. We are a small team that rapidly delivers software solutions with the latest technologies at the leading edge of ISP technology.

This position is for a well-rounded Software Engineer interested in completing both user interface design and implementation in Ruby and Typescript with Nodejs and Express, along with backend development in Java and JavaScript for the AWS cloud, including working with AWS API Gateways, Lambda's, and Cognito.

Duties:
* Lead complex projects with a team of engineers at junior and senior levels across different organizations and integrate billing and mediation systems with existing network elements
* Work with the Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure applications meet and/or exceed specifications and technical requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/MS in Computer Science and/or 5+ years of equivalent experience
* 5+ years of working experience with Billing Systems (Post + Pre-paid) and Mediation Systems
* 4+ years of programming and designing backend and APIs using Java and JavaScript
* 2+ years of experience working with data stores such as PostgreSQL and Redis
* 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services
* 1+ years of programming experience in Vue.js and Typescript
* Experience developing multi-threaded applications for networking, web services, HTTP, and TCP/IP
* Knowledge of object design, design patterns, and algorithms
* Good communicator; able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly
* Excellent writing skills
* Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting at scale
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership; Systematic investigation and eliminating variability of issues
* Large-scale systems software design and development experience and working knowledge of Unix/Linux
* Customer-focused delivery under an agile methodology
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail
* Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Experience with functional languages a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
