We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Englewood, CO. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining technical systems and software, with a strong focus on automation, deployment, and operational excellence.
4 days onsite, 1 day remote in Englewood, CO
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and contribute to the development of a range of products.
- Recommend design and development alterations to improve product quality and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance.
- Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
- Provide recommendations on testing techniques and process improvements.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines; work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Experience with:
- Automating software deployment using tools likePuppet,Chef, andAnsible.
- Continuous integration tools such asJenkins.
- Open source technologies and tools.
- Systems and IT operations.
- Data management with a focus on automation tools.
- Revision control systems (e.g.,GitHub) including branching and tagging strategies.
- Provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS,OpenStackpreferred).
- Deployment and network operations or sysadmin tasks with scripting and coding experience.
- Containerization technologies such asDockerandKubernetes.
Preferred Skills
- Operational knowledge ofKubernetes.
- Proficiency inGoLang.
- Experience withContinuous IntegrationandContinuous Deploymentprocesses.
