Role: Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Consultant (Planning) Location: Bay Area, CA Duration: 6+ Months
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud Planning to support end-to-end implementation, enhancements, and support activities. This role requires a balanced mix of functional FP&A knowledge and technical hands-on skills in Oracle EPM. The position is local to California and may require onsite or hybrid presence based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Responsibilities
- Work closely with Finance, FP&A, and business stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements
- Translate business and financial planning requirements into Oracle EPM Planning solutions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, and what-if/scenario modelling
- Design approval hierarchies, workflows, and planning processes
- Participate in UAT, user training, and stakeholder walkthroughs
- Technical Responsibilities
- Configure and implement Oracle EPM Cloud Planning (EPBCS/PBCS) applications
- Design and build dimensions, hierarchies, metadata, and security
- Develop and maintain business rules and calculations using Calc Manager
- Build and customize data forms, dashboards, and reports
- Design and support data integrations using Data Management / FDMEE / EPM Data Integration
- Support Smart View reporting and ad-hoc analysis
- Perform system testing, deployment, and performance tuning
- Provide post-go-live support and ongoing enhancements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle EPM / Hyperion with a strong techno-functional focus
- Hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Planning (EPBCS/PBCS)
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Business Rules / Calc Manager
- Dimensions, metadata, and security
- Forms, dashboards, and approvals
- Data Management / FDMEE / EPM Data Integration
- Smart View
- Solid understanding of Essbase and dimensional modelling concepts
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud)
- Exposure to Narrative Reporting or Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS)
- Oracle EPM Cloud certifications
- Experience integrating EPM with Oracle Fusion ERP, EBS, or other ERPs
- Experience working in public sector, utilities, or large enterprise environments
