Job Details

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Group Manager for its Rutherford, NJ location.

Duties: Provide software architectural design and development solutions of large-scale data ingestion, processing and risk related. Design, test, and implement enterprise applications and components (utilizing big data platform and its tools - Hadoop, hive, Cloudera, Oozie, Crunch, Java and C++) of the EAP Container system, which acquires and profiles all the retail account level data required for regulatory risk reporting. Design and develop batch processing system using UNIX and Windows, and jobs using scheduled software. Develop and enhance core application functions including data acquisition and reporting. Provide status and risk/issues reporting. Implement changes to requirements and baseline through change control process. Drive engineering effort with product development-based mindset, self-service capabilities, and EAP Reengineering for optimal storage, applying industry standard design patterns and requirements, and drive timely implementation. Utilize advanced knowledge of Bigdata and its eco system flow. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation developing applications. Employer will accept three (3) years of university level study in a stated field plus two (2) years of IT experience to meet the Bachelor's degree requirement. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Building enterprise-level application software using Big Data platform tools; Utilizing Java and relational database management system software (RDBMS); Utilizing Oracle, Sybase, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC, Spring MVC and ExtJS; Apache Spark, Hadoop and microservices; Using Impala with Tableau (Analytics); Using Extract Transform and Lead (ETL); Using job orchestration tools including Apache Oozie / Spring Batch; Reporting on dimensions/hierarchy data, Data modeling and understanding of logical data models; Working with distributed software application performance tuning and optimization skills; and Implementing Big Data HDFS based solution for financial and risk functions. 40 hrs./wk.
