Job Title: Clarion Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Clarion Developer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting applications built using the Clarion development environment. You should have a strong understanding of database-driven applications, business logic, and legacy systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using SoftVelocity Clarion (primarily Clarion 9/10/11).
- Debug, test, and optimize existing Clarion applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and end users to understand business requirements.
- Perform data integration and migration tasks.
- Maintain and improve legacy code while implementing modern best practices.
- Document code and development processes for future reference and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Clarion-based systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing in Clarion, especially versions 9 and above.
- Strong knowledge of Clarion templates, classes, and ABC framework.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with ODBC, SQL queries, and database normalization.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of SDLC and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
